The Bodies I Live In

Engaged in a network of disciplines and power structures the body is an instrument that reflects society. The Bodies I Live In is inspired by the human form as a fragment of culture, where the performance of gender, nationality and race takes place, defining identities. In a dialogue between portrait photography, contemporary dance and sculpture, the work brings to the gallery the opportunity to debate about the formation of the subject through the interaction of the self with the other, and how multiple selves inhabit the same subject.
